Account & Data Deletion

Ask us to delete your account and its personal data at any time. Here’s what happens and how to submit a request.

Last updated September 4, 2026

You can ask us to delete your Pickle Picker account and the personal data associated with it at any time. This page explains what happens and how to submit a request.

What gets deleted

When we process a deletion request, we remove:

  • Your account and any profile details you provided.
  • Personal information that can identify you and is linked to your account.
  • The guest session tied to your browser, along with the play history recorded against it.

What may be retained

Some information may be kept after deletion:

  • Anonymized or aggregated analytics that can no longer identify you.
  • Question suggestions that have been published, since they are not tied to your identity.
  • Votes, which are stored without any user identifier and so cannot be traced back to a person.
  • Records we are required to retain for legal, security, or fraud-prevention reasons.

Resetting your session yourself

If you only want a clean slate in this browser, you do not need to email anyone. Your profile page can reset the guest session immediately: the pp_guest_session cookie is cleared and the next question you answer starts a new, unrelated session. Clearing cookies in your browser does the same thing.

How to request deletion

Email us with the subject line “Delete my data”, using the email address linked to your account. We will confirm your request and complete the deletion within 30 days.

For more about how we handle your information, see our Privacy Policy.
