Pickle Picker (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is a “Would You Rather” party game offered through our website and mobile apps. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. You can play Pickle Picker without creating an account or signing in.
Information we collect
Pages viewed, features used, approximate device and browser information, and similar diagnostics collected automatically to help us improve the game.
Questions you suggest or votes you cast. Suggestions are reviewed before they appear and should not contain personal information.
If and when you create an account, basic profile details you choose to provide. Most of the game works without an account.
How anonymous play works
Playing does not require an account, and we do not try to work out who you are. The first time you play, your browser is given a random session ID — 32 bytes of random data with no meaning of its own — stored in a cookie named pp_guest_session.
- The cookie is httpOnly, so scripts running on the page cannot read it, and it expires after one year.
- Its value is not derived from your name, your email or your IP address. We do not hash your IP address, and we do not use it to identify voters.
- It exists only so your streak, your answer history and your “continue where you left off” spot keep working in this browser. Individual votes are stored without any user identifier attached to them.
- We do not build an advertising or behavioural profile from it, and we do not sell it.
You are in control of it: you can clear the session and start fresh at any time from your profile page, or ask us to remove everything through Account & Data Deletion. Deleting cookies in your browser has the same effect — the next visit simply starts a new, unrelated session.
How we use your information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the game and website.
- To understand which features and questions people enjoy.
- To review and moderate suggested questions.
- To diagnose problems, keep the service secure, and respond to support requests.

Anonymous usage measurement to understand how the site is used and to deploy analytics tags.
Aggregated behavior insights, such as heatmaps, used to improve usability.
Error and performance monitoring so we can find and fix problems quickly.
Children’s privacy
Pickle Picker is designed to be family-friendly, and we offer collections such as questions for kids. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your region). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Data retention & your rights
We keep information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described above. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information.
To delete your account and associated data, see our Account & Data Deletion page.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date above.
